Hladnikia (Hladnikia pastinacifolia) the only Slovene endemic genus. It was named after the first Slovenian botanist, the founder of the Botanical garden in Ljubljana, Franc Hladnik (1773 1844).

Fleischmann's parsnip (Pastinaca sativa var. fleischmannii) mutant of a common parsnip, found in the vicinity of the Ljubljana castle. After disappearance from its natural habitat it is now only grown in Botanical garden in Ljubljana.
