The Botanical Garden provides guided tours to tourist groups, all groups of plant lovers and also tours adapted to all educational levels. A large number of school children, pupils and students, kindergartens, associations and other organised and tourist groups come to see the premises under expert guidance. Special topic classes and natural science days are organised. During 2000, over 6000 visitors benefit from guided tours through the Garden, that means over 300 groups of all kinds. They typically spent more than two hours in the company of our guides. Guidance is not restricted to basic information on single plants; we try to explain the plant kingdom in a way that is both instructive and interesting. All of this is made possible by the great variety of Garden plants.
Different workshops are organised for the youngest public. School children and pupils are provided with worksheets to complete during their walk in the Garden. The knowledge of plants has been in decline not only in Slovenia but also in the world at large. Our expertly trained collaborators will bring you closer to the nature in which we live and of which we seem hardly aware at all.
Please take a look at how you can register for an expertly guided tour and at our schedule of charges - and pay us a visit as soon as you can! |
